People travel from around the world to view the spectacular light show each year attracting This year’s VIVID – the Festival of Light, Music and Ideas has added a new dimension – Vivid Food!
VIVID’s aim is to fuse art, innovation and technology in collaboration with some of the most boundary-pushing artists, thinkers, musicians and culinary experts of our time.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”3252″ img_size=”large” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]VIVID Light provides a kaleidoscopic of colour and wonderment, covering 8.5km free light walk with 59 light attractions covering Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, Barangaroo and all the way to Central Station.
The Royal Botanical Gardens this year has the spellbinding “Lightscape“ exhibit.
If you wish to experience something completely awe-inspiring, a new feature “Dark Spectrum” with “secret” tunnels under Wynyard Station, alive with interactive light exhibits.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”3254″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]….and of course, our very own display in Mosman “Wild Lights” at Taronga Zoo, should not be missed. It is thrilling to wander through the pathways at the Zoo, meeting “colourful wild surprises” at every turn. There are 23 nights of free live music with roaming artists across the Light Walk as well as ticketed concerts at various venues.
VIVID Ideas’ aim is to challenge our thinking, spotlighting this year issues such as underrepresented communities. The discussion will explore ideas to creatively achieve positive change.
VIVID Food, the new addition to the Festival, complements the program of Light, Music and Ideas. Sydney has world-class hatted chefs, restaurants, producers and venues and Vivid Food is all about celebrating those that make our food scene so special.
Sydney’s restaurants and bars will feature special menus and drinks during the Festival. As well, there will be opportunities to be treated to creations from visiting renowned chefs, multi-sensory dégustations and culinary pop-ups across the Vivid Sydney Light Walk.
