“Amazing sights”

I could not resist sharing the event with you which occurred yesterday in September 2023 on the other side of the island, around 100m from the Oriana.

The unplanned event certainly generated a fair amount of excitement for locals when the driver of a car, obviously a little too keen to get to the beach, hit the accelerator, mounted the curb, drove across the grass, through the concrete wall and literally hit the beach, landing upside down on the sand. The new car is to be written off but thank goodness there were no injuries with the two occupants climbing unhurt out of the car doors.

After investigations were completed, the scene was cleared away and the wall has since been repaired.
