Sydney’s warm welcome to the MS Queen Anne
What a welcome Sydney gave to the Cruise ship MS Queen Anne as she sailed through Sydney Heads, in front of The Oriana, on her maiden voyage to Sydney.
Even Mother Nature was ready with a dazzling sunrise and a White-Faced Heron dropped into The Oriana’s Garden at first light, to be on hand to view the spectacle!
As the MS Queen Anne sailed through the Heads tugboats were there for their ceremonial water salute – a sign of respect in the maritime industry.

The Queen Anne is the latest vessel in the Cunard fleet. Built by Fincantieri in Italy at a cost of USD600m, it is the second largest in the Cunard fleet, carrying 3000 passengers.
She was officially launched in Liverpool, UK, in May 2024. This is her first visit to Sydney and the welcome could not have been warmer.
There is much to see and do at The Oriana!
