Sailing on Sydney Harbour and Beyond the Heads
Great to be back in Balmoral after exploring the old haunts of David’s childhood in Bermuda.
While there, we watched the Finals of the America’s Cup with congratulations going to the New Zealand team for a 7 to 1 win over the American yacht.
Arrived home to glorious weather in Sydney with mid-winter temperatures in the 20’s I was reminded that sailing is an all-round popular activity in Sydney,
Just relaxing at The Oriana gazing out the windows, you will see people enjoying sailing on Sydney Harbour, all year round. However there are many options for those who would like to enjoy the sport more actively – in small skiffs, ocean racers….or experience a journey “back-to-the-past”, sailing on a square rigger in Sydney harbour and out beyond The Heads.
On the 70m barque, “James Craig”, you are able to pitch-in and help the crew by climbing the rigging, hauling in ropes or perhaps just enjoy the fantastic experience with feet firmly placed on the deck, simply taking-in the view.
Let me know if you would like to experience any of the many sailing options while staying at The Oriana and I will endeavour to arrange it for you.
To book please contact me directly either by email, helen@theoriana.com.au or click here.
