Endless hours gazing at the beach
We came together from many corners of the world to toast the forthcoming marriage of our British niece to her Ozzi beau; they live just a street away from here and its been a wonderful time. Thank you for such a perfect base. The beach has given endless hours of voyeurism!!! When describing the Oriana, I suggest people think of the colours of a David Hockney California painting - only better!
Eager to Book The Oriana Again
Our family of 6 enjoyed a beautiful stay at The Oriana in March. The apartment couldn't be better located, with beautiful views over the water and easy access to all the cafes along Balmoral promenade. Helen was a gracious hostess, greeting us on arrival to show us the apartment and checking in to ensure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The apartment is very clean and tidy and well stocked with all the essentials. We would eagerly book The Oriana again!

Tranquil and Relaxing
We arrived for a family wedding at Bathers, Balmoral Beach and could not have picked a better spot or location. It was lovely to hear the waves crashing on the beach, day and night, creating a very tranquil, relaxing atmosphere. We are sure to revisit! Thank you!
Magical!
What a magical part of the world We have absolutely loved waking up to the beautiful sunrise, swimming in the sea and watching the moon to finish the day. Helen and David are great hosts and we thank you for sharing your home. You have spoiled us on our first visit to Australia and hopefully we will return in the future
I would give The Oriana 6 stars
If it were possible to give a sixth star, I would. The Oriana is my favourite home away from home in Sydney. The views are astonishing, the house is well appointed (we brought both kids and work with us), and the hosts are the nicest people you'll ever meet. I love it, my partner loves it, and our kids love it. The best endorsement you can ever give as a customer is your return business, and we've now returned more than half a dozen times. And we plan to keep doing returning for years to come.
Spent Every Morning on the Beach
We loved this property! Waking up, pouring coffee and literally walking the 45 steps to the beach was like a dream. Sunrises from the sunroom are breath taking. This is a quiet area, but still feels lively with the beach club next door and lots of people walking and running in the morning time. Though we didn’t partake in them, there are some restaurants and coffee shops nearby within walking distance. If going to Manly Beach … the bus on Esplanade to the Taronga zoo is perfect to catch the ferry to Manly. The ferry ride back from Manly will give you UNBELIEVABLE views of the Sydney Harbour bridge and Opera House. The kitchen was fully stocked, even a bottle of wine was in the fridge and some sweet treats were left for us to enjoy. We had an abundance of space for (4) adults and rarely used the living room at all because we spent all our time soaking up the views. Our hosts were wonderful and so kind. We would HIGHLY recommend this property to other guests!

Iconic luxury Beach Penthouse
We absolutely loved our time at The Oriana - so amazing to be right on the beautiful beach with great cafés nearby and easy public transport into the city. Helen and David were lovely hosts, kindly taking us to the supermarket and showing us around on our first day. The property was fabulously well-suited for our three generations' holiday! Aug 2023

Magical Location
Such a magical location. You don’t feel like you are so close to the city. Waking up to the incredible views is something special indeed. The beach is clean and popular with swimmers and runners but not crowded. Rooms are all spacious. It is an elegant home. There’s plenty of space to spread out and serve a diverse group of ages. The kitchen is well stocked.

Amazing Beachfront Property
This location is unbelievable. It is a unique property as literally on/adjacent to the beach with unprecedented water views. Every morning, it was a dream to wake up to beautiful sun rises, birdsong and the sound of gentle waves. Helen is a gracious host and very responsive via email. Our 7 nights stay just flew by. Highly recommended!
Amazing Location and Views
Amazing Location and views The Oriana is an incredible place to stay in Sydney. The views are spectacular with a 270 degree view of the water. You are right on the beach with no roads to cross to be on the sand. The location is very convenient with lovely restaurants an easy stroll away. We were able to catch a water taxi into the city and buses to the shops. I highly recommend this property for a fabulous holiday.

Outstanding Property and Host
This home is outstanding, modern, open, and clean. The views of the beach and harbor are outstanding. We saw the Southern Cross out the patio every night. Helen, the host is also wonderful. She welcomed us and provided us with locations of great cafes within short walking distances from the home. She also explained many other things about the location including hikes in the forest with tremendous views of the various bays. Transportation to and around Sydney downtown is great, a short bus ride and then ferry ride and you are there. What a way to travel, it is wonderful. We will definitely be returning to this wonderful home.

A big thank you for allowing us to stay at your superb apartment recently with our son James and his family. We all had a fabulous time, loved your views to the North Head. It was dreamy waking up each morning and looking out at the beach, seeing early morning swimmers going through their daily routine, people surfing and others just walking - great therapy and just so beautiful. Your apartment is beautifully equipped, not missing anything, and you and your husband were just so helpful with parking and helping us move in with our cases and food. Many thanks for looking after us so well, and I have told all my golf friends about your glorious apartment.

Unbelievable
Unbelievable! The Oriana was absolutely amazing, Helen was fantastic. Helen met us when we arrived to take us through the property. The pictures are stunning, however being there is even better. They sound of the beach was soothing and you could feel yourself just decompressing from the hustle and bustle by the minute. We highly recommend staying there at least once. Add it to your bucket list. We are definitely going back.

Loved Staying at The Oriana
My family and I absolutely loved our stay at the Oriana. The beach front location and the stunning 270 degree views were incredible. Helen was an amazing host and included delicious home baked goodies on our arrival. The kids and I loved being able to play in the sand and then relax in the afternoon overlooking the view. Magical August Holiday
Everything you needed was provided. This is a beautiful house with amazing views. We regretted not booking for longer than 5 days. Helen was helpful and enabled us to book in early due to our early arrival. Watching the sunrise was a highlight, falling asleep to the sound of the waves was magical. I would highly recommend this house it is meticulously clean and well maintained.

A two week stay
I have never stayed in such a warm and comfortable apartment like the Oriana. The owners were the friendliest people and so accommodating to our every need. The apartment is so beautifully furnished and has everything in there we possibly needed. The location is like no other on the best beach around. There are so many wonderful restaurants and places in walking distance. It truly is an unbelievable place to go with family and children to relax and enjoy a wonderful part of Sydney. I am going back next year and hopefully the year after that or as long as it is available.

Accommodation for our wedding at Bathers Pavilion
We can highly recommend this property. Our highlight would have to be watching the sunrise from the large living room with windows the length of the property that all open to hear the sea breeze. The check-in was seamless meeting Helen to walk us through the property, with a full bottle of milk, wine and freshly baked slice provided. This top level apartment is the size of a 3 bedroom house with multiple lounge areas, large bedrooms and very easy access to the beach. As we stayed for our wedding there was plenty of room for hair and makeup to spread out and we all enjoyed the beautiful view of Balmoral Beach while getting ready. We can’t wait to visit and stay at this property again.

Our stay at the Oriana was amazing
Waking up to glorious sunrises over Sydney heads the location was brilliant with stunning water views over Balmoral. The owner Helen greeted us on arrival and showed us around our accommodation which was very spacious, clean and well maintained. The large closed in verandah overlooking the beach was a great place to take in the views. Being able to walk down the stairs from our accommodation straight onto the sand was also extra special. Being within walking distance to everything Balmoral and the surrounding area has to offer we didn't use our car once during our stay. We would highly recommend spending some time at the Oriana on Balmoral Beach.
Living the Australian Dream
As our first taste of Australia after 16 years away in the US, we found The Oriana to be precisely as it says on the website: Living the Australian dream. The location is spectacular both day and night and hosts Helen and David made us feel like family throughout. There is really nothing like The Oriana and we wished we could have stayed longer. We have no hesitation in recommending The Oriana to visitors and locals alike
Fabulous
What a fabulous holiday! The location, the property, the managers were all excellent. I would struggle to think of a better way to start the day than a walk onto Balmoral Beach followed by a coffee at one of the local cafes. Lunch and then a walk along the Balmoral Esplanade is hard to beat. Helen and her husband were lovely and very helpful. I would recommend this rental very highly.
